Explore the magic of painting with wax! This ancient technique is currently experiencing quite a revival. This class will give you all the basics of starting with encaustics.

We'll go over safety, studio setup, preparing surfaces and grounds, mixing medium and paint, and fusing. Students will learn several painting techniques including layering, scraping, incising, as well as several possibilities for collage and mixed media.

No painting experience is necessary and beginners are welcome. All materials are provided with the $25 fee.
