Studio Discovery Tour artist Genevieve Wilson - teaching This is to be a special class helping the student to capture and express the imagination and magic realism in the human figure. To make visual through art and classical means the volume, the light, the emotions, the music, the special-ness of the model.

We will begin with studying the model, composition on the page, form, lighting, and proportions and work toward presenting the feeling and personalities of the models.

The models will be specially chosen by their ability to project their uniqueness. They will model two consecutive classes giving the student the chance to develop a drawing or painting to a quality level. The models will be clothed and costumed so that drapery, lace, and many other graphic techniques can be explored.

Many media will be used. The student will have the opportunity to use crayons, graphite, transparent watercolor, non transparent watercolor, ink pastels, conté, acrylics, oils, airbrush, etc. to find what they want to master and what best portrays a particular model and or mood. The use and care of materials as well as how to buy them carefully and wisely will be a part of the class.

This is a class for those from a beginning level to advanced. It is a serious class to enjoy the experiences of the models, the art, the fellow students, and to love the whole of fine art. Hope you will give it a try and join us.
