This workshop begins with a one-hour session discussing the dynamics of specialty threads, working with machine tensions and needle selection. This workshop provides students with instruction and hands-on experimentation with specialty threads. We will have a large selection of our threads available for the students to use. This is a rare opportunity for the quilter to experiment with many different threads and have the guidance and assistance of a professional teacher to help with any questions or concerns.

Cindy Needham Cindy has been a quilter for over 35 years with the first 25 devoted to her first love of hand quilting and the last 10 with her second love of machine quilting. Passing on her love of quilting and design through teaching is a dream come true. She recently left her full time job in the medical field to teach on a national level for Superior Threads. Her love of design has led to unique opportunities to design stencils and whole-cloth designs.

Cindy has had several designs featured in industry publications. She and her husband, Kent, live in Chico, California where he patiently supports her quilting obsession which has taken over both of their lives and their home! They have two grown daughters, Jenny and Emily, with the newest addition to the family, granddaughter Chloe, who is the absolute best.
