Jekyll & Hyde, The Musical Gualala Arts Theater is proud to announce its 2014 Fall Production of Jekyll & Hyde, The Musical, directed by Teo Ariola. A true musical theater phenomenon, Jekyll & Hyde attracted legions of loyal fans even before the show began its smash-hit Broadway run.

An evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, Jekyll & Hyde is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good, Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde.

There are 3 lead roles (1 male, 2 female) and a supporting cast of 9-12 characters (male & female) and a medium to large supporting "Chorus" (AKA People of London). This show offers great flexibility in using an ensemble cast, and its powerful musical score will require many versatile singers. This show not only highlights the main characters but the entire cast.

Auditions are being held early to give the chosen cast plenty of time to learn the material prior to in earnest rehearsals starting October. There may be a few initial rehearsals prior to October but that will be determined at a later date.

We are also looking for people interested in being part of the production crew that includes set designers, builders, artists (painters), costumers and backstage crew.

Interested actors are strongly encouraged to request a script and sheet music for to review in preparation for the auditions. To request an audition package or for more information contact Teo Ariola (707) 884-3090 or email Teo.ACT@msn.com.
