San Francisco Chamber Jazz Quartet Saturday night tops off with the Main Event in Two Acts at Gualala Arts Center. Act I leads off with dynamic headliner group The San Francisco Chamber Jazz Quartet (Director Gini Wilson "The Duchess" on Piano, Steve Heckman on Reeds, Pat Klobas on Acoustic Bass and Ron Marabuto on Drums). Following intermission, Act II continues...opening with a Tribute to John Coltrane by Poetess Blake More accompanied by Steve Heckman on Tenor Sax, followed by the Bay Area World Class Jazz Sextet featuring SFCJQ plus Tommy Kesecker on Vibes/Marimba, Graham Bruce on Trumpet/Flugelhorn and special guest vocalist Kenny Washington.

For The Main Event, doors open at 7:00 PM for non-reserved cabaret style seating. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Before the concert and during intermission, gourmet "savories & sweets" and wine & beer will be served by the Culinary Arts Guild. In celebration of Jazz & Poetry Month, the Redwood Coast Whale & Jazz Festival is also offering a special JAZZ & POETRY MONTH FESTIVAL PASS for $50 that includes the April 2nd Chowder Challenge, Wine/Microbrew Tasting and Jazz Concert, plus The Main Event: Act I & II on Saturday evening and the Sea Tones Concert April 16th with The Brubeck Brothers!
