The Committee members include
Suzan Friedland,

Jim Grenwelge,
Doric Jemison-Ball,
Ling-Yen Jones,
Bruce Jones, and
Jane Reichhold,.
Please feel free to contact the Committee with ideas and questions about current and future art exhibits at Gualala Arts.
The Membership
Committee, chaired by CE Brown, keeps records of membership, determines membership
categories, secures members during Art in the Redwoods Festival, and promotes
membership in support of the Arts.
The Scholarship
Committee, chaired by Nancy Kyle,
is responsible for selecting recipients for the $5,000 in
scholarships that Gualala Arts offers each year.
They send applications to local high schools, review applications, interview
applicants and make recommendations to the Board.
The Finance
Committee, chaired by Don Kemp, meets the second Wednesday,
every other month. They track expenditures and income in relation to budget,
make investment recommendations, plan for the financial solvency of Gualala
Arts, and explore ways and means of increasing income.
The Fund Development Committee is chaired by Teri Fagan.
Meetings are held intermittently
with an endeavor to establish substantial funding to secure future
sustainability of the Arts Center.
The Policy Committee, chaired by Mike Mee,
meets monthly on the third
Tuesday. They document policy for activity and affiliate groups, staff,
maintenance and operations of the Arts Center. This documentation
provides for the continued smooth operation of the center through future transition
of staff and Board.
The Building Committee, chaired by Jim Grenwelge,
meets each Tuesday and Thursday
morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Members are involved in landscaping,
classroom planning and building, maintenance, semi-annual rummage sale, and
various odd jobs. With eleven acres of land, a building to complete and
maintain, and future building plans, there will always be a need for this
committee. They make recommendations on capital improvements to the Board.
The Gualala Arts Center, located at 46501 Gualala Road in Gualala, CA,
is open weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and weekends from noon to 4:00 p.m.
